You deserve to feel better. I help adults and couples work through anxiety, grief, and the transitions that throw life off balance, so you can feel like yourself again.

Meet Stephanie

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I came to therapy as a second career, after sixteen years in youth ministry, where I discovered how much I love sitting with people, listening to their stories, and helping them see things from a different angle. I have been in private practice for over eleven years. I work mostly with individuals from college age and up, and with couples, especially premarital.

I am direct, but caring. I want a session to feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a deep conversation with a trusted friend. I do not fix people, and I do not think you are broken. You already have what you need inside you. Sometimes we just have to unlock the pathways to it and find the parts of yourself you left behind.

Early on, I often talk about poking holes in the darkness. Small openings, so the light gets in and you can see what was there all along.

I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy for anxieties, phobias, and experiences that still get triggered or weigh on you day to day, and Somatic Experiencing to release what lives in the body and let it do the work it is already built to do. For couples, I use Imago therapy.

About Anne

I'm Anne Williamson, a Mental Health Counseling graduate student at Northwestern University, practicing under the supervision of Stephanie Bewley at SKB and Scott Sweet at CenterPoint Counseling.

I also hold a Master of Divinity. Yes, I went to seminary. Back then I used to say, "You are your own best theologian." Now I say, "You are your own best therapist." The wisdom you need to heal already lives in you. Part of our work is learning to hear that voice and trust it. I'm here to listen and guide, but it's your voice we'll be listening for.

I work with adults and groups, in person and online, across Indiana, drawing on a range of evidence-based approaches and a particular interest in where spirituality and psychological well-being meet. Some struggles ease or resolve. Others we learn to carry, so we can live freely alongside them.
